Michelle is an accomplished
public relations professional with a successful background in corporate
communications and community relations. Michelle joined Consensus Communications after serving as director of communications for the American Red Cross of Central Florida, where she counseled the organization’s leadership on strategic community partnerships and directed the media and community relations program. Michelle also spent several years as the community relations and community benefits manager for Florida Hospital. In this role she significantly expanded the hospital’s involvement in the community, forged strategic partnerships and relationships, directed the allocation of philanthropic resources to area not-for-profits, and assisted with internal, media and crisis communications. During her career, Michelle has devoted her time to many not-for-profit boards and activities and is a graduate of the Leadership Orlando and Leadership Seminole programs. Michelle received her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Journalism from Marshall University. After an internship with the Florida Hospital Association in Orlando, she went to work for the Kissimmee-St. Cloud Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, where she crafted the bureau’s communications tools and worked closely with national and international travel media to promote the area’s attractions. |
