2001 Special Election- Steve Wise for State Senate
Successfully Elected

An appointment by the Governor created a vacancy in the Florida Senate requiring a special election. Our client, who was making his first run for State Senate was opposed in the Republican Primary by a wealthy lawyer who promised to spend whatever it takes of his own money to win. Despite being outspent by more than 4 to 1, we were able to run a disciplined, well-focused campaign that resulted in our client receiving 69% of the vote. Total Budget $288,000

2000- Lee Constantine for State Senate
Successfully Elected

Directed Senator Lee Constantine’s campaign for State Senate. Our client, who was making his first run for State Senate was targeted for defeat by well funded special interests, who outspent our client by a margin of greater that 2 to 1 in the Republican Primary. Despite their spending and tactics, we were able to run a disciplined, well-focused campaign that resulted in our client receiving 76% of the vote in the primary, and another overwhelming will in the general election. Total Budget $585,000

2000 – Anna Cowin for State Senate
Successfully Re-elected

Senator Cowin was targeted for defeat by well-funded special interests, who recruited a popular long time House Member to run against her in the Republican Primary. Despite the conventional wisdom in Tallahassee calling for her defeat, she handedly won the Republican Primary with over 64% of the vote, and proceeded to post another overwhelming victory in the General Election. Total Budget $526,000

1998 - Katherine Harris for Secretary of State
Successfully Elected

Directed Senator Katherine Harris’ statewide campaign for Florida Secretary of State. Successfully defeated the incumbent in the Republican primary and proceeded to win the general election. Total budget: $1.7 million.

1998 - Mel Martinez for Orange County Chairman

Successfully Elected

Directed Mel Martinez’ campaign for Orange County Chairman, the highest local elected official in Central Florida. Total Budget: $1.3 million

1996 - Citizens to Save Jobs and Stop Unfair Taxes
Successfully Defeated

Consensus Communications was hired by Florida's sugar industry to run the committee which successfully defeated Amendment 4, the proposed tax on Florida Sugar. Total Budget: $19 million.

1996 - Anna Cowin for Florida Senate
Successfully Elected

Directed Anna Cowin’s campaign successfully through a crowded primary, a run-off, and general election. This was the number one target seat in the state legislature by both parties and the only 1996 Republican pick-up seat in the Florida Senate. Total Budget: $450,000.

1995 - Mayor Glenda Hood Re-election Campaign
Successfully Re-elected

Successfully directed Orlando Mayor Glenda Hood’s re-election campaign. Total Budget: $150,000.

1994 - No Casinos, Inc.
Successfully Defeated

The No Casinos, Inc. organization opposed the euphemistically titled "Limited Casinos" proposal. Since No Casinos was outspent by a margin of 10 to 1, well executed earned media and highly targeted paid media strategies were developed and implemented. Total Budget: $1.6 million.

1994 - Save Our Sealife
Successfully Passed

The Save our Sealife campaign known as "Ban the Nets" prohibited the use of gill and entangling nets in Florida waters, as well as the use of other large nets in nearshore waters. Save Our Sealife is the only initiative in Florida history to qualify for the ballot without the use of paid petition gatherers. Total Budget: $1.4 million.

1992 - Citizens for Limited Political Terms
Successfully Passed
The term limits campaign known as "Eight is Enough" limited state and federal officeholders to eight consecutive years in office. Total Budget: $800,000.
