A RECORD OF SUCCESS
Our Candidate & Initiative Scorecard
2001 Special Election- Steve Wise for State Senate
Successfully Elected
An appointment by the Governor created a vacancy in the Florida Senate
requiring a special election. Our client, who was making his first run
for State Senate was opposed in the Republican Primary by a wealthy lawyer
who promised to spend whatever it takes of his own money to win. Despite
being outspent by more than 4 to 1, we were able to run a disciplined,
well-focused campaign that resulted in our client receiving 69% of the
vote. Total Budget $288,000
2000- Lee Constantine for State Senate
Successfully Elected
Directed Senator Lee Constantines campaign for State Senate. Our
client, who was making his first run for State Senate was targeted for
defeat by well funded special interests, who outspent our client by a
margin of greater that 2 to 1 in the Republican Primary. Despite their
spending and tactics, we were able to run a disciplined, well-focused
campaign that resulted in our client receiving 76% of the vote in the
primary, and another overwhelming will in the general election. Total
Budget $585,000
2000 Anna Cowin for State Senate
Successfully Re-elected
Senator Cowin was targeted for defeat by well-funded special interests,
who recruited a popular long time House Member to run against her in the
Republican Primary. Despite the conventional wisdom in Tallahassee calling
for her defeat, she handedly won the Republican Primary with over 64%
of the vote, and proceeded to post another overwhelming victory in the
General Election. Total Budget $526,000
